This position reports to Kingfisher, OK in person daily.

General Summary:

This internship opportunity will provide the applicant entry-level IP network experience with progressive responsibility and experience. As an Intern Position the successful applicant will be able to gain experience and build their resume by further developing and learning IT skills.

Applicant must be able to work independently or in a group environment, be self-motivated and not afraid to learn. This position will work under the direct supervision of the IP Network Administrator.


The normal hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional after hours and weekend duty.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Hands on work assisting the IP Network Technicians in planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing Pioneer's IP networks.
  • Commits to maintaining a work environment that encourages positive employee relationships within the division and other departments to establish a climate of openness and trust.
  • Exemplifies dependability standards through adherence to timelines and schedules. Commits to performing job tasks in a manner that ensures a safe work environment.
  • Willingly and cooperatively performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completed one year in a relevant full-time Career Tech Program or be entering or completing Junior or Senior year of college majoring in Networking, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of basic Ethernet networking.
  • Follow configuration and change management processes.
  • Passionate about networking, information technology or computer science.
  • Skill in analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Ability to multi-task, self-start, work in a dynamic team environment, and work independently.
  • Willing to tackle new challenges and develop new skills.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve optimum results. Ability to effectively function as a team player and to project a positive attitude.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines in accordance with company policy.
  • Ability to demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity including close vision.
  • May be required occasionally to stoop, kneel, or bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb, stand on a ladder, and be in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
