Position: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join a dynamic healthcare team in Lakeway, Texas. The IR Technologist performs interventional radiology procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients under the general supervision of a Radiologist. The role requires adherence to established protocols, patient safety, and quality care while participating in call rotation.

Schedule:

• Full-Time Monday through Friday, Day Shift

• Call Rotation Required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality IR procedures according to exam protocol and in a timely manner

• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, including positioning and exposure factor adjustments

• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to safety, infection control, and radiation policies

• Communicate with patients and families regarding procedures and care instructions

• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records

• Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance

• Provide mentorship and training to new team members

• Respond to patient and departmental needs during call shifts

Education & Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program

• IR Tech experience preferred, especially in a busy lab; neuro and trauma experience a plus

Licenses & Certifications:

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire/transfer

• ARRT-R Radiography required

• Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)

• Certification in one of the following within 2 years of hire:

  • ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography (ARRT-CI)

  • ARRT Interventional Radiography (ARRT-VI)

  • ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT-CV)
