Salary: The expected pay rate for this position is $25.00-$30.00 per hour. The actual pay rate offered may vary on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications and/or location.

POSITION SUMMARY:
At AES, the Inventory and Purchasing Clerk is a key player in upholding our core principles during interactions with our valued customers. This role is central to our supply chain management, encompassing purchasing, invoicing, and the detailed management of spare parts inventory. The Inventory and Purchasing Clerk is pivotal in supporting Maintenance and Overhaul Operations, ensuring administrative tasks are completed with accuracy and efficiency, maintaining comprehensive service records, and preserving the integrity of our parts database.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
    • Work Order Management:: Assist in generating and regularly monitoring work orders for Technicians, checking inventory availability for upcoming assignments, and processing completed orders.
    • Supply Chain Oversight: :Request quotes, place orders in a timely manner, and identify alternative parts sources using lead time and pricing as guides.
    • Vendor and Inventory Coordination:: Notify management of excessive lead times or shipping delays, document orders completely, and monitor shipping timelines. Collaborate with the Logistics Clerk as needed.
    • Inventory Management:: Assist in weekly cycle counts to verify current inventory. Follow up with vendors as orders approach or pass delivery deadlines.
    • Operational Support:: Assist in planning workloads based on equipment requirements.
    • Data Management:: Perform data entry in the system for equipment service records and labor records. Generate reports, gather data as needed.
    • Execute all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must have good verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.     • Minimum of 4 years in purchasing, inventory control, or related field. Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
    • 2 years of related experience and a broad knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software preferred or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software.
    • Understanding of procurement processes and inventory management principles,
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication abilities, proficiency in data entry and management, effective multitasking and prioritization, keen problem-solving and attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and/or autonomously.
    • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
    • Must have a valid drivers license.
    • No travel restrictions
EDUCATION:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:: Little or no physical demands are required to perform the essential functions of the position. Work effort principally involves prolonged periods of sitting or standing to perform work tasks, with intermittent periods of stooping and walking. May be exposed to repetitive motion and vision to monitor. The employee is occasionally required to lift, push or pull objects such as books, parts, office equipment and/or computer paper. Work is performed in an office environment, relatively free of unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
