Position Overview
Midway Staffing is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support outbound operations for one of our valued clients. This position is a hands-on warehouse role that requires strong attention to detail, organization, and experience with pallet auditing, staging, and loading.
Key Responsibilities
Pallet Auditing
- Verify pallets against load sheets and order manifests.
- Check product codes, quantities, and labels for accuracy.
- Document discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
Pallet Organization & Staging
- Arrange pallets by route, carrier, or delivery priority.
- Maintain clear labeling and organized staging areas.
- Consolidate pallets to optimize space and efficiency.
Loading Operations
- Safely load outbound trailers following proper sequence and weight guidelines.
- Confirm all pallets are included and secured correctly.
Documentation & Reporting
- Record all audits and load confirmations accurately.
- Communicate any adjustments or issues to supervisors.
Equipment & Safety
- Conduct daily equipment checks and maintain a clean work area.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely
- Basic computer or RF scanner literacy
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
Preferred:
- 1+ year experience in outbound shipping or distribution
- Forklift certification
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
