Inventory Control Coordinator Apply
Position Summary Performs and monitors operational supply chain related activities within Central Supply, Central Supply Main Operating Room, the Laboratory and the Warehouse. Responsible for inventory control, order pulling, stocking, processing medical supply related recalls, and/or receiving products. Ensures supply availability and the efficient utilization of supply chain resources. Resolves challenges and collaborates with peers and department leaders to develop solutions to improve Supply Chain operations. Responsibilities Ensures assigned Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) areas are scanned according to department schedule and replenishment requisitions are appropriately released to Central Supply and/or Purchasing as required Oversees and ensures quality, expiration, rotation and storage requirements for all medical material in assigned department(s) Manages back orders, new product conversions and substitutions in coordination with Purchasing, Value Analysis, and/or the appropriate department leadership Monitors product usage levels and analyzes usage trends to initiate changes in PAR levels in coordination with department and/or Supply Chain leadership Manages internal and external product allocations Identifies and processes recalled and/or damaged medical supplies as required; notifies relevant department leaders and assists in the removal, return and resupply as necessary Creates inventories when departments expand and/or when new inventory locations are required Assists in Supply Chain related training and education of internal department and external Kootenai Health staff Participates in the creation and updating of policies and procedures Identifies process improvement opportunities Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications 3 years’ experience in Materials Management required; experience in the healthcare setting preferred 3 years’ progressive experience in inventory management required 5 years’ progressive experience in customer service required Advanced knowledge of the Healthcare Management Information System preferred Experience with data analytics and creating reports using office suite required Experience in leadership and project management preferred Working Conditions Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height Must be able to climb stairs or ladders Must be able to move or traverse with/without accommodation #J-18808-Ljbffr
