Summary:
- The Inventory Control Coordinator supports warehouse operations by managing receiving, staging, inventory control, and outbound shipping of temperature-controlled medical products.
- This role ensures accurate material handling, cold-chain integrity, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Receiving
- Receive raw materials, components, and inbound products
- Verify quantities, lot numbers, and required documentation
- Perform system transactions for receiving and put-away
- Identify discrepancies and escalate issues as needed
Outbound Shipping
- Pick and stage orders using FIFO/FEFO principles
- Pack domestic and international shipments
- Prepare cold-chain shipments using insulated packaging, dry ice, and gel packs
- Generate shipping documentation and coordinate carrier pickups
Inventory Control
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory location audits
- Support inventory reconciliation and system updates
- Remove expired or damaged materials from storage locations
- Maintain lot control and product traceability per standard procedures
Cold-Chain & Regulated Material Handling
- Work in cold rooms (2 8 C) and freezers (-20 C)
- Handle temperature-sensitive and time-critical products
- Safely handle dry ice and cold-chain packaging materials
- Handle regulated and hazardous materials according to established procedures
Equipment Operation
- Operate warehouse equipment as required, including forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and cold-room handling tools
Required Skills
- Warehouse or material handling experience
- Ability to work in cold storage environments
- Basic computer and system navigation skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and written instructions
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Skills
- Forklift and powered industrial equipment experience
- Cold-chain logistics experience
- Basic knowledge of hazardous or regulated material handling
- Experience with medical products or regulated product distribution
