Summary
The role involves providing shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at assigned facilities. The individual will handle warehouse operations involving different temperature zones and ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery to customers.
Responsibilities
  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process items for storage or shipment per procedures and customer requirements.
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily.
  • Verify the quality, type, and quantity of materials received and ensure proper documentation (e.g., packing list).
  • Safely operate distribution equipment as required.
  • Maintain accuracy in all warehouse functions to avoid delays in schedules.
  • Ensure on-time attendance and readiness for work each day.
  • Follow general instructions for routine work and detailed guidance for new tasks.
  • Work in varying temperature environments - room temperature (59 86 F), cold-room (36 46 F), and freezer-room (-4 23 F).
  • Perform highly repetitive work involving walking, standing, reaching, lifting (up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally), pushing, pulling, and climbing.
  • Handle packaged hazardous materials as needed.
  • Adapt to moderate to high noise levels and potential work-related stress.
  • Be available for shift changes, overtime, and varying work schedules as required.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and equipment operation sessions.
  • Occasionally travel locally if required.
Required Skills
  • Highschool Diploma or GED required
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
  • Basic knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures.
  • Prior warehouse or distribution center experience.
  • Familiarity with handling hazardous materials.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in performing repetitive tasks.
  • Punctuality and reliability in attendance and work habits.
  • Ability to understand and interpret team metrics.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and move items as described.
  • Ability to work in varied temperature environments and under moderate to high noise conditions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and workloads.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and accountability.
