Overview BUILD IT - Responsible for a clean, orderly, and meticulously organized work area, and maintaining accurate inventory counts and material consumption used by all departments in the organization. Processes bills of materials and creates kits of parts that include pumps, valves, pipe fittings, electrical and mechanical components, wiring, conduit, etc., for use in production adhering to established service level agreements within the business. OWN IT - Equally responsible for processing expedited orders placed by customers and by Service Operations to support technicians and engineers at customer sites. Works diligently with purchasing, production, and receiving to resolve inventory discrepancies, taking ownership of the process. The candidate must be highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, not afraid of a challenge, and take pride in their work. Responsibilities & Functions Professional in all manner of communication with internal and external customers Perform physical, daily cycle counts of products and raw materials in stock and on the production floor, and record the data in the inventory system Reconcile discrepancies in physical count with quantities in the inventory database, including adjusting the inventory database and investigating the cause of inventory irregularities Responsible for accuracy of intra-organizational inventory transactions Establish and maintain order and cleanliness of stockroom and immediate work area Verify inventory as it is received, stored and shipped, including documents, pick lists, packing lists and bills of lading Assist Shipping & Receiving as requested; receive material, match packing slips and/or bills of lading for accuracy Coordinate with facility leadership for assigned task priorities and special situations relating to facility operations Requirements Must have a natural ability to quickly and systematically work through problems, identify solutions and implement those solutions in a timely manner Advanced level reading and mathematics skills; able to understand instructions – both written and oral Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts Ability to read a tape measure Able to lift up to 50 lbs Detail oriented with the ability to keep the inventory area clean and well organized Flexible – ability to think on your feet, shift between jobs, and assist in any area of the shop as needed Excellent attendance; able to work overtime as needed Strong knowledge of safe work practices with a willingness to embrace personal responsibility for safety on the job Physical Requirements Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like Stooping – Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist Kneeling – Bending legs at the knee to come to a rest on knee or knees Crouching – Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine Reaching – Extending hands and arms in any direction Standing – Remaining upright on the feet for extended periods Lifting – Raising objects or moving objects horizontally as needed Grasping – Applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm Talking – Communicating clearly with others Hearing – Receiving detailed information through oral communication Repetitive motions – Repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly Close visual acuity to perform tasks such as data preparation, reading, inspection, and use of measurement devices Inside environmental conditions; protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes Hazards: Proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working at heights, exposure to heat or chemicals #J-18808-Ljbffr
