Job Description

Responsible for assisting the shift supervisor in managing the warehouse associates and workload. Performs all job duties of the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following.

  • Effectively perform all job duties of department meeting all set goals and standards
  • Informs supervisor of any unsafe or hazardous working conditions
  • Reassign associates to different job tasks as needed
  • Assists in performing physical inventories and proper stock locations
  • Assists in training new hires
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Assist in maintaining the security for the warehouse
  • Conduct work assignments in a manner which promotes safety
  • Assists associates in training of proper methods and techniques to enhance individuals’ productivity and accuracy
  • Perform job duties according to set goals and metrics
  • May assist in reporting and investigating all work-related injuries
  • Other duties may be assigned to accomplish company or department objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education & Experience

  • 2+ years of related experience as a lead in a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • High School diploma

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to meet departmental expectations to effectively drive results
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office products)
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Great people and communication skills.
  • Ability to use computer software to generate reports as needed
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Operating in a collaborative environment
  • Certified forklift driver preferred
