Inventory Control Manager Apply
The Inventory Control Manager is a key member of the Supply Chain Team reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Americas. The position is responsible for all aspects related to the receiving, storing, and material movements to our shipping department, delivering 100% customer satisfaction through appropriate supply chain management. Key Responsibilities Plan operations and activities, with the company’s budget in mind Supervise Warehouse personnel to perform appropriate job functions within safety and explosive regulations. Work with manufacturing sites to insure timely and qty delivery of material. Develop & execute internal material movements to streamline Material Handler duties and improved material flow. Establish material flow techniques from receiving of material to shipping of product. Adopt and/or establish best practices for material movement planning and execution. Adherers to inventory accuracy of 100%. Develop KPI’s; ensure processes are followed and routinely reviewed for improvement - to include SAP material movements & reports Lead Cycle Count efforts and champion inventory management and control activities Standardize receiving, sorting, and distribution of materials and products Creates a layout plan that streamlines the storage and retrieval of goods Oversee internal inventory movements for best results. Ensure that material inventory is stored in an organized manner, so that its quality is maintained and accessibility is achieved. Respond to unplanned or Expedited orders efficiently to ensure products are delivered in a timely and accurate manner Coordinate with cross functional team members, and/or senior management regarding discrepancies and errors in the supply chain process Meet with other managers to confer about products, shipping times, and distribution issues Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred 8 years supply chain/logistics experience in lieu of degree Explosive background highly perfered Extensive experience in a distribution center/warehouse environment Experience with material requirements planning/ERP systems (SAP preferred) Proven ability to utilize material requirements planning tools & software Proven ability to multitask in a culturally diverse environment. Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals. Ability to work effectively in a fast pace, changing environment Adaptable/flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations.
