The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring inventory levels across multiple production facilities, coordinating with sales and production teams, and ensuring accurate and timely order processing. Key responsibilities include: Monitor current inventory levels and expected inventory amounts based on production schedules across multiple production facilities. Collaborate with the sales team to assess inventory needs and communicate with production to request specific quantities. Report on deficiencies, overages, or optimal inventory levels based on current and projected quantities. Work closely with other departments to ensure adequate inventory levels and a smooth shipping schedule. Maintain open lines of communication between departments and customers, including resolving intracompany issues, customer complaints, and fulfilling requests. Input purchase orders, review for accuracy, confirm orders, coordinate production as needed, generate bills of lading, and assist with outbound freight. All other duties as assigned. Required qualifications and competencies: Education: Bachelor's degree required Experience: 1-3 years of experience Technical Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint-Intermediate Proficiency Communication: English Language (Speaking/Listening/Writing) Knowledge: Basic understanding of inventory management principles, order processing, and logistics coordination Ability: Accurately track, report, and communicate inventory data; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Skills: Detail-oriented, professional, organized, strong written and verbal communication, active listening, problem solving, multitasking, coordination, and customer service Work environment and physical demands: This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, calculator, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, walk, hear or stand. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
