Inventory Control Specialist Apply
Kleen Test Products is in search of an Inventory Control Specialist on 1st shift at our Sunset facility in Port Washington, WI. The Inventory Control Specialist ensures inventory accuracy in our system (Syspro). Inventory must be physically counted and reconciled to our system. Inventory processes include: raw material receiving, finished good production, issues and returns to shop floor orders, and shipping. This position has 1st shift hours Monday-Friday.
Essential Functions:
- Count materials after shop floor order completion.
- Verify component consumption (issues and returns).
- Verify finished good production.
- Develop and manage cycle count program.
- Reconcile physical inventory to Syspro; Determine root cause of inventory discrepancies.
- Perform various material movement transactions in Syspro, as required.
- Recommend and/or implement process changes to increase inventory accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop strategies to improve inventory accuracy.
- Assist and/or lead waste management program(s).
- Minimize material obsolescence.
- Enter transactions into customer’s ERP system, as required (SAP or other).
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Prior experience (6 months to 1 year) in inventory control or related area; Associate degree in materials planning/supply chain, business, or related area of discipline is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to write reports and findings and present to all levels of management in a clear and concise manner.
- Exceptional organizational skills, along with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills along with ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining composure and respect for everyone.
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Understanding of MRP concepts and ERP system functionality.
- Demonstrated excellence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), experience with Google suite and Outlook.
