Inventory Management Specialist Apply
Summary : The position is an Inventory Management Specialist responsible for material supportability analysis, supply planning, and retail stock level determination for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and Non‑DLA managed materials. Responsibilities Determine parts supportability across all sources of supply for established and future shop requirements of DLA and Non‑DLA managed materials. Provide material support for particular projects, work operations, and/or programs and serve as a material support point of contact (POC) for maintenance customers. Analyze and review Unfilled Order (UFO) and Gross Demand Plan (GDP) documents to develop and recommend process improvement strategies for more effective material sustainability. Collaborate with DLA Customer Support Specialists, Demand and Supply Planners, and appropriate Navy personnel to set and establish safety retail stock levels. Review and evaluate demand and supply metrics data indicating misalignments between maintenance requirements and supply availability. Qualifications Specialized Experience One year of specialized experience in material supportability analysis for current and future customer workload. Experience with automated supply and production management systems to plan material support. Monitoring all sources of supply to identify optimal support options. Retail supply functions, including monitoring customer demand patterns and recommending retail stock levels. Education Substitution Must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Education must be from an accredited U.S. institution or equivalently evaluated foreign credentials. Combination of Education and Experience Combinations of post‑high school education and experience may be used to meet qualifications at GS‑11; total percentages of education and experience must equal at least 100 %. Voluntary experience (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) is credited as qualifying experience. Conditions of Employment Must be a U.S. citizen. Tour of Duty: Set Schedule.
