SUMMARY:
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for managing all inventory control activities across the cannabis manufacturing facility, ensuring accurate inventory records, full METRC compliance, and continuous audit readiness. This role provides day-to-day leadership to the Inventory team, oversees system accuracy across METRC and Acumatica, partners closely with Production and Warehouse leadership, and drives process improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency. The Inventory Supervisor serves as a key operational leader, ensuring accountability, training, and performance consistency while safeguarding inventory integrity and regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (this list is not all inclusive)
• Oversees daily inventory operations and supervise Inventory Leads/Technicians, including scheduling, workload balance, and performance oversight.
• Owns facility-level inventory accuracy and reconciliation across METRC, Acumatica, and Nabis.
• Reviews and approves inventory adjustments, conversions, destruction events, and transfers to ensure compliant, documented records.
• Ensures all inventory movements are recorded timely and accurately, minimizing discrepancies or reporting delays.
• Develops, maintains, and monitors cycle count programs and prepare for periodic physical inventories and regulatory audits.
• Investigates inventory discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensures consistent adherence to SOPs, security protocols, GMP expectations, and cannabis regulatory requirements.
• Trains, coaches, evaluates, and develops inventory team members; address performance issues when needed.
• Partners closely with Production, Packaging, Quality, and Warehouse leadership to support production flow and material availability.
• Maintains audit-ready documentation, reporting dashboards, and compliance logs.
• Identifies process gaps, recommend operational improvements, and assist in updating SOPs and controls.
• Supports incident reviews related to inventory variances, suspected diversion, or regulatory concerns.
• Participates in production planning discussions and provide inventory insights for decision-making.
• Leads by example in promoting safety, professionalism, and accountability.
• Executes ad hoc projects as assigned by direct supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Constantly: stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Frequently: stand and walk on the production floor; lift and move up to 40–50 lbs; bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
• Constantly: use hands and fingers for keyboard, mouse, and production tasks; perform computer-based data entry and record review.
• Occasionally: remain seated or stationed at a workstation for extended periods while entering and verifying data.
• Occasionally: climb, crouch, or work around equipment.
• Ability to work in a busy production environment with changing priorities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in inventory, logistics, or operations preferred.
• Advanced working knowledge of METRC and inventory compliance in a cannabis environment.
• Experience with Acumatica or similar ERP inventory systems required.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience in inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing required.
• Experience managing audits, reconciliations, or compliance processes strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel/reporting skills and comfort working with data and dashboards.
• Experience in cannabis manufacturing or distribution is highly preferred.
