Warehouse Inventory SpecialistResponsible for verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving verifying and recording merchandise or material as well as transporting said goods to the appropriate inventory location in the warehouse and verifying the quantity stored. This individual is also responsible for verifying and updating inventory discrepancies as they arise.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Ensuring the integrity of the warehouse and inventory systems through proper quality control and cycle counts to ensure total compliance of materials with the physical location and documented count.Ensuring a smooth transition pre-shift and post-shift production with inventory being brought to the line by warehouse associates and put away the same. This individual will be responsible for handing over / receiving a change in the position, getting to know the status of tasks (performed and to be performed).Monitoring system releases of components in warehouse and production processes (BOM's)Assisting with all scheduled or ad hoc cycle counts and inventories and investigating any discrepancies to root cause and determining a method to ensure a better process.Working with employees involved in the warehouse and production process; aimed at eliminating the inconsistencies between the physical and system.Data preparation for reporting purposes. Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly.Performing system corrections in the Inventory Management System in accordance with applicable procedures.Weighing, estimating, counting, unused production material. Updating inventory systems and relabeling materialComplying with OSHA safety requirements, ensuring all PPE & GMP policies followed and maintaining a safe work environment.Other duties as assignedRequirements include:Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferredLean Certification, preferred but not requiredSkills, knowledge, and abilities include:Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and proceduresAbility to pay close attention to detailSkill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the jobSkill in multitasking and time managementAbility to effectively manage personnel of varying skills and disciplinary backgroundsAbility to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departmentsAbility to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidentialAbility to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP's, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defensePhysical and environmental requirements include:Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communicationMust be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workersMust be able to reach, touch, graspMust be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and pushMust be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floorMust be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 35 poundsTravel requirements include:0-25% - Travel may be required to support business needs
