We are seeking an Investment Associate to join our venture capital fund, focusing on identifying and evaluating high-potential startups in technology and innovation-driven sectors. The ideal candidate will have a keen analytical mind, strong financial modeling skills, and a deep passion for entrepreneurship and venture investing. This role involves conducting due diligence, financial analysis, market research, and actively participating in the investment process from initial screening to deal closure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deal Sourcing and Screening:

    • Proactively identify and screen potential investment opportunities.
    • Attend industry conferences and networking events to meet with startups and entrepreneurs.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key ecosystem players including other venture capital firms, accelerators, and incubators.
  2. Due Diligence and Analysis:

    • Conduct detailed due diligence on potential investments, including financial, technical, legal, and market analysis.
    • Develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate return scenarios and assist in the investment decision-making process.
    • Prepare investment memorandums and presentations for the investment committee.
  3. Portfolio Management:

    • Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and support as needed.
    • Assist in the preparation of quarterly portfolio performance reviews and reports.
    • Engage with portfolio companies to track milestones and financial health.
  4. Market Research:

    • Continuously research and analyze industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform investment strategies.
    • Provide insights on emerging technologies and potential market disruptions.
  5. Investor Relations:

    • Support the preparation of materials for LP meetings and updates.
    • Participate in discussions and presentations to existing and potential investors.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant master's degree is highly preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, ideally with a focus on technology or startups.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and research skills.
