Job Overview
Rodgers Brothers, Inc. is an SEC registered investment advisory firm with more than $1 billion of discretionary assets under management. Located in the quaint and historic town of Harmony, approximately 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh, we have been working over the last 40 years to grow and preserve the investments of the individual and institutional clients we serve.
We are looking for a candidate to assist in managing the extensive amount of data involved in supporting the firm and its investment operations. This position is a unique opportunity to be a part of a growing business with a long-term focus.
Responsibilities
Portfolio and Investment Data
- Maintain and reconcile portfolio data including positions and transactions across multiple internal systems and external partners
- Review daily data feeds ensuring accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency
- Investigate data discrepancies - identifying, documenting, and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate with third party data providers, addressing service issues and staying informed of product updates and changes
Client & Regulatory Data
- Help manage and maintain accuracy of client records in firm’s internal and external databases
- Contribute to the design and implementation of client data management procedures
- Assist in preparing data for regulatory filings, ensuring records meet record keeping standards
Reports and Analytics
- Produce, validate, and distribute internal and client-facing reports
- Respond to ad hoc report requests from team members
- Create and maintain reports used in supporting investment operations
- Support firm-level analytics
General
- Document methodologies, definitions, and workflows
- Contribute to the design and documentation of data entry and operating procedures
- Participate in firm-wide initiatives
- Gain expertise in firm-wide business processes from trading, investment operations, technology, compliance, and client service
- Help evaluate and improve data quality, efficiencies, and workflows
Qualifications
\tThis role requires strong analytical and technical skills. In addition, the candidate should have:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset
- The ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong skills with Excel (experience with Access, SQL, or Python a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, finance, accounting, or some related field
Additionally, we will give preference to the candidates with certain experience including:
- 2-5 years of experience in data and operations, preferably at RIA or finance firm
- An accounting or finance background
- Familiarity with portfolio management and trading software a plus
