Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 law firm seeking a 3rd to 6th year IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Seattle, WA office on an in office basis.


This opportunity is focused on sophisticated intellectual property disputes, with an emphasis on patent and trade secret litigation for clients in innovation driven industries including technology and life sciences.


The firm offers a collaborative, team oriented platform with strong mentoring and clear expectations around development and progression. Associates can expect hands on training, high quality supervision, and exposure to complex matters supported by well resourced litigation teams.


The Opportunity


You will support and lead key workstreams across active matters, including legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, coordinating with technical experts, and contributing to strategy and client communication. Prior courtroom exposure is valued, but the role is suitable for associates looking to deepen trial adjacent experience within a partner led team.


Ideal Candidate Profile


The firm is seeking a 3rd to 6th year IP Litigation Associate Attorney with:


  • Experience handling patent and or trade secret litigation in a law firm setting
  • An undergraduate degree in hard sciences or life sciences
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Bar admission in the jurisdiction appropriate for the role
  • Excellent research, analytical, oral and written communication skills
