About the Role

Join the Green Light Lawn Care team! We're seeking a skilled and motivated Irrigation Technician to support our growing Lawn & Landscape Crew. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working outdoors, and helping clients maintain healthy, beautiful landscapes through efficient water management systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in irrigation installation or maintenance (preferred, but willing to train the right candidate)
• Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, backflow prevention, and drip/sprinkler systems
• Ability to read irrigation plans and troubleshoot system layouts (preferred)
• Basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
• Pesticide Applicator License (RT) preferred, or willingness to obtain
• Valid Driver's License required
• Must pass background check
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
• Willingness to relocate to West Lafayette, IN

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation issues (clogs, leaks, electrical faults, broken heads, timers, valves, etc.)
• Preform system startups in the spring and winterizations in the fall
• Conduct routine inspections and prevention maintenance of irrigation systems
• Track and manage irrigation parts and inventory to ensure projects run smoothly
• Operate and perform light maintenance on irrigation tools and equipment
• Communicate professionally with clients, providing education on irrigation system use and best practices
