DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides help desk support and technical assistance in the absence of the Information Systems Manager.
- Assists Information systems Manager in addressing a wide variety of user issues, including software problems, hardware failures and network issues.
- Assists in network management, software development, and database administration.
- Assists in creating and maintaining user accounts and information and managing data and secured files.
- Maintains computer file system to ensure that all merchandise is ringing at the correct price, into the correct department, and correctly for the purposes of food stamp ability and taxability.
- Maintains a system that ensures all merchandise is properly tagged so customers can clearly understand the price. Ensure that store price signage standards are maintained.
- Perform scan audits according to schedule.
- Maintains a system that ensures all store personnel inform the Scanning Coordinator regarding pricing problems, tagging problems, or items not building to the scanning file.
- Informs Store Manager and General Manager of any problem regarding pricing and signage.
- Manage the following reports on a monthly basis and distribute to staff: cost plus file, select file and Albert’s.
- Ensures that all store personnel are informed of changes or new procedures regarding pricing and signing.
- Manages outside vendor files, as necessary.
- Helps with inventory deploying equipment, troubleshooting, and pulling reports.
- Runs movement reports on a monthly basis.
- Runs rolling movement reports monthly and maintain database of data for other reports (i.e., price changes).
- Creates Co+op commitment files.
- Runs Co-+op deals with IT.
- Acts as a back up to create signage files for promotions, process signs InDesign and deliver to staff.
- Pulls shrink reports.
- Runs SQL reports, as necessary.
- Creates employee discount cards.
- Enters and terminate new employees in Catapult.
- Reports data to NCG and SPINS as required by NCG contract.
- Assists Category Manager in pulling cost data, applying necessary pricing formulas, and confirming consistent and beneficial price points.
- Receives costs data and calculates appropriate retail price points that maintain desired margin patterns.
- Reviews current or past cost, margin, and price settings to verify consistent application of desired margin patterns.
- Assists in sales growth by ensuring pricing is set within competitive standards.
- Analyzes price points and margins; assesses application to confirm consistency in meeting performance and profit goals.
- Attends meetings and contributes in strategizing ideal price points to maintain sales growth and margin goals.
- Reviews invoices daily to verify pricing is set to accurately maintain margin goals.
- Enters, updates, and verifies pricing data in an existing internal database.
- Reviews and verifies data entered into database to ensure accuracy.
- Regularly generates file backups to ensure data is secure and protected.
- Interacts with vendors and wholesalers to negotiate and maintain equitable trade in alignment with the co-op’s principles and values.
- Develops and maintains positive vendor relations.
- Handles confidential information and exercises discretion in its dissemination.
- Remains abreast of the co-op’s progress in the areas of sales growth, pricing, and margin trends; regularly review and study relevant files and spreadsheets.
- Assists customers, as needed.
- Maintains a positive and friendly attitude towards all.
- Others duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of one (1) year’s experience and familiarity with natural foods strongly preferred.

- Ability to commute between both store locations, sometimes multiple times a day.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods at a time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and climb.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Flexibility to work weekends.
- Consistent and reliable access to transportation.
