Federated Insurance is seeking an Enterprise Data Manager to lead our Information Empowerment and Analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about using data to solve business challenges and create a competitive advantage. You will lead a team of 6-8 people responsible for designing business intelligence and advanced analytics solutions, corporately empowering self-service reporting, increasing data literacy, and safely administering data governance. This is an in-office position that will work from our office in Owatonna, MN. A work from home option is not available. Responsibilities: Manage assigned direct personnel to maximize productivity, teamwork, and results. Analyze and develop business intelligence needs with internal customers and IT partners. Mitigate data and processing problems as they arise. Drive positive change and promote the effective application of technology to ensure consistency, compatibility, and risk mitigation. Evaluate and promote adoption of emerging data technology and trends. Support data governance across all business units and departments. Collaborate with IT management to establish and support a data strategy and vision for all areas of Federated Insurance, aligning objectives with business and IT objectives. Coordinate and negotiate vendor contracts and services as needed. Monitor technology-related regulatory and compliance developments. Investigate and resolve service issues regarding IT systems, processes, or personnel. Minimum Requirements: Four-year degree in a technology-related field; or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years leading small IT teams. An unquestioned ability to retain confidential business and personnel information. Preferred Skills: Experience with SQL, data modeling, python, and/or Tableau. Data science experience. Experience managing an IT budget. Data governance experience.
