IT and Networking Specialist Apply
Job Title: IT and Networking Specialist Location: Princeton, NJ Contract-to-Hire Pay Range: $20 - $26/hr., Monday Friday, 7:00am -3:30pm
Our client, a prestigious private school located in Princeton, NJ is seeking a skilled and dedicated Helpdesk/Networking Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support to both faculty and students, maintaining and enhancing the school's IT infrastructure, and ensuring seamless connectivity. This is a full in person role, with a salary range of $40,000 - $55,000/yr.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
Provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students, addressing hardware and software issues.
Collaborate with vendors and support teams to resolve complex technical problems.
System Administration:
Administer and manage servers, ensuring their stability, security, and ecient operation.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data.
Educational Technology:
Collaborate with our Academic Technology Integrator and our educators to integrate technology into the curriculum effectively.
Assist in the implementation and support of educational software and tools.
Network Management:
Design, implement, and maintain the school's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues promptly to minimize disruptions to academic and administrative activities.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security measures to protect the school's information systems and sensitive data.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems and procedures.
Provide training and support to faculty and staff on the use of technology tools.
Qualications:
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse community.
Proven experience in IT and networking, with a strong understanding of network protocols, security, and system administration.
Preferred Qualications:
Experience working in an educational setting, particularly in K-8 schools.
Familiarity with educational technology tools and their integration into the learning environment is preferred.
Previous experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring students in curricular, co-curricular, and athletic opportunities.
Familiarity with Google Suite administration, Blackbaud databases, Securely monitoring, and IncidentIQ Support Ticketing.
Familiarity Cisco Meraki network equipment and Windows Server.
Certications such as Cisco Certied Network Associate (CCNA) or Microsoft Certied: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related eld.
