What You’ll Do Grand River Health is seeking an IT Applications Manager to lead the team responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing our clinical and business applications. This role ensures systems run reliably, securely, and effectively to support daily operations and patient care. You’ll oversee a skilled team of analysts and report writers who maintain and enhance enterprise applications such as EHRs, PACS, and other healthcare systems. The Applications Manager ensures compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and healthcare regulations while aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals for quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. Lead and support the applications team, ensuring accuracy, quality, and strong customer service. Occasional on‑call duties. Oversee daily operations for clinical and business systems, ensuring reliable performance and user support. Manage application projects, keeping work on schedule, within scope, and on budget. Assign work, track progress, and coordinate team schedules and priorities. Collaborate with department leaders to plan upgrades, set priorities, and meet service expectations. Provide escalation support for complex application and integration issues. Maintain application policies, protocols, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulations. Participate directly in troubleshooting, system configuration, and maintenance. Monitor vendor and internal issue tracking to ensure timely resolution and user satisfaction. Support process improvement, documentation, and system performance tracking. Contribute to IT planning, budgeting, and reporting to leadership. Who We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics or Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or relevant application certifications (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or Meditech) preferred. 5+ years of experience in healthcare application support, including configuration, implementation, and training. 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role. Experience with healthcare workflows, regulatory requirements, and clinical/business operations. The preferred candidate will reside within one to two hours of 501 Airport Dr, Rifle, CO 81650. What We Offer Our total rewards package includes Pay Range: $66.25-78.14/hour (based on experience) Shift Differentials for nights and weekends Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, PTO from day one, extended illness time, retirement plan with match, and more Perks: Payroll deductions for hot springs, gyms, ski passes, pet insurance, access to outdoor recreation, and more! Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
