Job Summary:
This role is a senior, hands‐on IT Architect responsible for designing and delivering highly available, reliable, and cost‐effective hosting solutions across a global enterprise. The position gathers requirements from business and IT stakeholders, leads architectural design and proof‐of‐concept efforts, and establishes standards, policies, and best practices for hosting services. The architect will work across VMware, Windows, Linux, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), automation, scripting, networking, containers, middleware, and modern software architectures, while driving risk management, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous improvement. This position requires a bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in architecture, engineering, and modern infrastructure technologies.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Architect, design and deliver highly available, reliable and cost-effective hosting solutions.
- Obtain requirements from end users, department heads or other IT discipline teams.
- Provide guidance, leadership and technical expertise for all IT Hosting Services initiatives.
- Architect, solution and perform POC (Proof of Concept) testing and documentation.
- Work with other teams to create an architectural model before moving forward with POC.
- Document, implement and review IT Hosting Services policies, procedures and solutions.
- Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to foster IT Hosting Services architecture discoveries.
- Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to foster effective Risk Management awareness, including disaster avoidance, change and problem management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years experience with VMware, SAN, Windows, and Citrix.
- May require travel to branch and international locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage in a matrix and global organization.
· Knowledgeable in modern software architectures like Microservices, n-tier architecture, Distributed Computing, Cloud, etc.
