Convert existing digital Microsoft documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and Adobe PDFs to accessible versions. Develop and implement new processes to analyze complex accessibility issues. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and stakeholders. Test all WSSB IT systems, software, hardware, and communications using multiple tools to verify accessibility. Stay abreast of technology developments, issues, and changes related to digital accessibility. Meet with directors, managers, and other staff to analyze department needs. Perform all levels of accessibility analysis and remediation, including complex assignments without existing procedures. Apply advanced understanding of inclusive design principles and lived‑experience‑driven accessibility. Collaborate with procurement, legal, and IT to determine remediation strategies. Lead negotiations with vendors to establish remediation timelines, deliverables, and verification checkpoints. Advise leadership on risk trade‑offs and alternative mitigation strategies. Provide expertise and guidance in Microsoft, Adobe, Canvas, training platforms, and websites. Analyze enterprise accessibility needs and detail specific technical requirements for enterprise‑wide compliance. Collect and analyze data on technical problems associated with adaptive technology tools and recommend solutions. Document alternative methods for existing technologies with accessibility barriers. Provide accessibility advice to collaborating agencies. Train staff on accessibility and develop procedures based on current standards. Serve as the agency’s expert on digital accessibility related tasks and questions. Use appropriate training methods based on staff needs. Produce high‑quality analytical and business documentation for executive, technical, and operational audiences. Perform additional duties such as IT inventory, annual certifications, audits, and common application support. Qualifications Ability to work independently and with effective team collaboration. Experience working with blind and visually impaired individuals. Advanced knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft, Wave, Fusion, and related tools. Proficient in creating accessible documents and forms using standard tools. Ability to work with vendors, contractors, and agencies on accessibility topics. Knowledge of assistive technology software. Capacity to maintain confidentiality of student, staff, and IT related matters. Advanced knowledge of WCAG, ADA Standards, and Washington State accessibility regulations. Knowledge of screen readers and other techniques for blind/low‑vision users. Tolerance for frequent interruptions and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Willingness to learn, grow, and meet diverse needs. Other Desired Qualifications Four or more completed years of college, emphasis on education and/or IT (experience may substitute year‑for‑year). At least 2 years of experience in accessibility compliance testing. CPACC certification or equivalent accessibility certification.
