Summary
The Director of Information Technology will collaborate with the leadership team to lead the development, planning, and execution of a technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with the company's business objectives and growth targets set by executive leadership. This role will oversee the implementation of key technology initiatives and manage day-to-day technology operations, including identifying opportunities for operational improvement and addressing risk mitigation. Key responsibilities include providing technical support for the companies ERP system, managing infrastructure with the MSP partner, and ensuring the security of the enterprise against data loss, cyberattacks, and other risks. The IT Director will oversee the IT dept, including resource management for both internal team members and external partner relationships.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manages and provides leadership for all employees in the Information Technology department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
2. Directs all out-sourced services and develops performance criteria for service level agreements with all providers.
3. Ensures key metrics are met on systems uptime and provide an escalation point for all IT issues.
4. Directs disciplined project management methodologies to ensure IT projects are completed on time and within budget.
5. Establishes, manages and communicates the IT capital and expense budget.
6. Participates with other departments in the research, design, development, implementation and maintenance of the company-wide information and business process systems.

8. Maintains alignment between IT and the business though proactive communications and superior project management.
9. Develops and supports corporate Disaster Recovery Plans as it relates to technology.
10. Responsible for budgetary planning of all IT expenditures, including new hardware/software acquisition, ERP systems, leases, telecommunications, projects and hardware/software maintenance contracts.
11. Responsible for determining current and future enterprise infrastructure needs consistent company's strategic plan and Corporate IT goals.
12. Management and oversight of the Company enterprise network infrastructure, servers, and all associated computing devices to ensure availability and service in accordance will all IT standards, compliance requirements, and service level agreements (SLA's)
13. Establishes departmental procedures and controls to ensure efficient workflow and quality end products
14. Assists in development and support of Corporate IT policy, compliance issues, and licensing
15. Keep abreast of business developments and evaluate potential changes in IT structure or systems which may be needed as a result
16. Vendor Management, including negotiating and /or approving contracts for maintenance and other IS-related services in accordance with established Company guidelines, and monitoring compliance with terms of such contracts.
17. Ensures that staff are adequately utilized and cross-trained to provide adequate backup for key functions
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from four-year college or university; and ten years of professional management of information technology departments.
2. At least five years hands on experience managing networks, email systems and ERP systems in a manufacturing environment serving the consumer products and food service industry.
3. At least eight years managing technical staff with a focus on results and service.
4. Progressive and creative thinker that can solve complex business problems with new technology solutions.
5. Must be knowledgeable of ERP and other packaged enterprise applications. Oracle E-Business suite preferred, Tier 1 ERP applications experience required.
6. Awareness of industry trends in these areas and ability to adapt new technology where appropriate to further strategic goals
7. Ability to create, review and execute project plans and budgets on time and on schedule
8. Previous experience in developing, communicating, and implementing an IT strategy that supports company initiatives.
