Job Description AMSOIL INC. is looking for a Manufacturing IT Engineer to join the IT team. In this role, you will ensure the stable operation of manufacturing IT networks and systems. The three primary disciplines are network administration, systems administration, and support of manufacturing technologies such as handheld scanners, production computers, and printers. You will also be responsible for planning, installing, configuring, testing, documenting, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing performance within the individual disciplines. You will also provide installation support for hardware and software upgrades, develop and implement infrastructure plans and projects, and evaluate products, services, applications, software, and industry developments for potential business impact. Core Responsibilities: Design, configure, and manage network services and appliances such as switches, access points, ISP, and other network-related devices Design, configure, and administer manufacturing systems such as Windows Server, handheld scanners, computers, and printers. Participate in the development of proposals and plans, and execute and maintain plans Provide guidance to others and lead manufacturing IT projects Support escalations from the AMSOIL desktop support team Collaborate and cross-train within the infrastructure and security group Collaborate with applications services groups Conduct periodic software and hardware audits as directed Evaluate new equipment and software for adoption as appropriate Perform other related work as needed Position Requirements: Associate degree in IT or equivalent work experience 5 or more years of related work experience Strong knowledge of network and manufacturing or retail systems Strong knowledge of current systems software, hardware, protocols, and standards Strong knowledge of local area network administration Hands‑on software and hardware troubleshooting experience Proven experience in the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products Analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Highly self‑motivated and directed. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment. Experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment. Innovator - entrepreneurial in thinking, planning, and execution. Showcases proven analytical and problem‑solving ability, particularly as it pertains to manufacturing systems and tools, non‑disruptive implementation, risk assessment, compliance, analytics and reporting.
