Job Description:
client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Technician to provide both on-site and remote technical support across our manufacturing facilities.
This position offers hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, system maintenance, and end-user support within a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate will help ensure reliable system performance that directly supports day-to-day manufacturing and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote assistance to users; troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to minimize production downtime.
System Maintenance: Install, configure, and update operating systems, business applications, and security software used in manufacturing and office environments.
Hardware Setup: Prepare and deploy desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and production-related equipment for new employees or system upgrades.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and system changes.
User Training: Assist staff with basic IT procedures, equipment usage, and best practices.
Security Support: Help manage software and system updates, password policies, and general cybersecurity awareness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Foundational understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience providing both on-site and remote support preferred.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and standard business applications (Microsoft 365, Teams, etc.).
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Works well independently and collaboratively within a team.
Education & Certifications:
At least 1-2yrs Tier 1 support experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Fundamentals are preferred.
