It Helpdesk Engineer Apply
We are looking for an experienced IT Specialist/Engineer to manage and maintain our client's network environment, provide engineering-related support, and ensure seamless IT operations for their new facility. This role requires a highly independent professional with a strong background in GxP facilities (Preferred) and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the executive management team. The ideal candidate will be passionate, accommodating, and dedicated to the success of their IT operations.
This is a start-up environment and this will be a demanding and rewarding job!
If selected for the position, there will be a mandatory training session held in San Francisco, CA which you will need to attend.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Management:
- Oversee and maintain the site's network environment, including both hardware and software components.
- Work with networking vendors and troubleshoot any network issues that arise.
Desktop and Laptop Management:
- Manage the inventory, distribution, and configuration of desktops and laptops for new personnel.
- Coordinate with supplier CDW for the procurement and setup of equipment.
- Handle the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they have the necessary IT resources.
Software/Networking Environment
- Provide support for GWS, MS Azure/O365/Sharepoint, Intune/Jamf, Okta, Zoom-Teams Video Conferencing (user/room/equipment), Atlassian (Jira/Confluence)
- 24/7 On-Call Support:
- Be available for any IT issues that may arise outside of regular business hours.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with the executive management team and other departments.
- Lead the IT support function as the facility grows, potentially managing additional IT personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in an environment having provided senior level end user support.
- Proven experience managing IT operations in a start-up or rapidly growing company.
Technical Skills:
- Intermediate WLAN/LAN experience. (Good to have)
- Intermediate MS Windows Office Suite 365/MAC experience.
- Intermediate Video Conferencing experience
- Experience with network management, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to be on call for after-hours support.
Some travel to headquarters location in San Francisco, CA from time to time.
