IT Helpdesk Intern Organization Summary Lindsay Corporation, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, is a global leader in irrigation and infrastructure solutions. Position Overview This internship is designed for college students eager to gain practical IT experience. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, supporting day-to-day IT operations and learning through real-world projects. The role is structured to provide mentorship, skill-building, and exposure to a variety of IT functions. Internship Details Location: Lindsay, NE Duration: Year-long assignment (hours negotiable to accommodate academic commitments) Eligibility: Candidates must be enrolled in a relevant college program. Key Responsibilities Shadow and assist IT team members with troubleshooting and resolving basic computer and network issues. Participate in routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and calibrating printers and other devices, under supervision. Support the setup and configuration of hardware and software for end users. Help document IT processes and solutions for future reference. Learn and apply desktop service desk workflows and problem-solving skills in a supportive environment. Observe and assist with system analysis and performance monitoring. Contribute to IT research and surveys to identify areas for improvement. Practice safe data handling and learn about IT security protocols. Attend team meetings and training sessions to expand technical knowledge. Learning & Development Opportunities Receive mentorship from IT professionals. Gain exposure to supporting and troubleshooting endpoints running both Windows and Linux operating systems. Develop proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise applications. Build communication and teamwork skills through collaborative projects. Preferred Qualifications Current college student in good academic standing (Associate, Bachelor’s, or Graduate program in Computer Science or Information Systems). Strong interest in technology and willingness to learn. Basic knowledge of programming and Microsoft Office. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
