Job Description

Responsible for hardware and software installation and maintenance, as well as basic end user training/support. Providing technical assistance in an effective and efficient manner is vital.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installs, upgrades, and configures end-user workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices per company policy.
  • Maintains hardware inventory records.
  • Provides first level IT support to end-users on a variety of issues.
  • Completes basic troubleshooting of software/hardware/telecom issues.
  • Assists with onboarding of new employees.
  • Assists with IT Orientation for all new employees.
  • Completes documentation/follow-up for repairs on hardware issues.
  • Performs software updates at workstations.
  • Maintains procedural documentation.
  • Promotes and models RWMIC Core Values in all interactions and responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides end-user application support per company policy.
  • Audits computer systems and recommend solutions.
  • Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in Information Technology or Business preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT service desk, help desk, or technician role.
  • Relative industry certifications a plus.
  • Advanced PC skills and familiarity with MS Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize workloads, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to visualize a problem or solution and think abstractly to solve it.
  • Ability to convey technical topics to a wide variety of callers with varying technical skill levels.
  • Experience in trouble-shooting and configuring Windows /10/11 based networked PC.
  • Familiarity with most common desktop/laptop software and hardware systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and configurations (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN).
  • Familiarity with M365 Products, Apps, and Services.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows Server 2016 and higher, basic understanding of DNS, and DHCP.
  • Mac OS X experience, a plus.
  • Experience with and understanding of multi-cultural and multi-generational differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
  • The following physical demands are required:
    • Lift/Carry 25+ pounds
    • Bend/Stoop/Kneel 4 hours per day
    • Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day
    • Push/pull 50+ pounds
