POSITION OVERVIEW

Burn Boot Camp is seeking a highly motivated and passionate infrastructure and security support analyst to join our team. The IT Infrastructure & Security Analyst will serve as the primary resource for all incidents, projects, and changes related to infrastructure support, network management, and cybersecurity. This person will be responsible for assessing current risks, building infrastructure improvements, and designing security policies that protect company data and operations. The ideal candidate will relentlessly pursue excellence in customer relationship management, broad technology support, and proactive cybersecurity preparedness.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Infrastructure Support
    • On-site support for local infrastructure, Mac and Windows device management, software catalog change management, and video conferencing support
    • Level 2 end user support for infrastructure and client device configuration
  • Network Infrastructure
    • Monitor and maintain enterprise network components (switches, firewalls, wireless systems)
    • Troubleshoot and optimize network performance and connectivity
    • Collaborate on network architecture planning and capacity forecasting
  • Cybersecurity
    • Implement and manage security controls across on-prem and cloud environments
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with remediation planning
    • Participate in configuration and deployment of Single Sign On solutions across multiple SaaS platforms
    • Create and maintain core security policies (e.g., acceptable use, password management, incident response).
    • Develop and test an incident response plan to ensure swift reaction to security events.
  • Policy & Compliance
    • Draft, update, and enforce IT and security policies, procedures, and standards
    • Identify gaps and develop plans to align the company with relevant standards
    • Translate technical requirements into actionable controls for operations and staff
  • Strategic Planning
    • Evaluate and recommend security technologies and vendors
    • Create and maintain documentation for network architecture and security configurations
    • Collaborate with leadership to align IT security with business goals

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience and certifications
    • Familiarity with policy creation, security training, and incident response
    • End-user and network technology support experience is preferred
  • Technical Skills
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar cloud platforms
    • Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or other security frameworks
    • Understanding of compliance regulations – PCI, CACP and PII
  • Soft Skills
    • Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills
    • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
    • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
