Works collaboratively with other administrators and leadership to provide back‑end systems and application support for high‑demand, mission‑critical and complex business applications. Responsibilities include project planning and communications, supporting software installation and configuration, performance monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and developing detailed documentation. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8–5. On‑call rotation and weekend maintenance window support will be required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology. Tasks Install, configure and manage data center components (Windows Server, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network‑Attached Storage (NAS), cabling, and Operating System), capacity planning and performance analysis; assist with planning future infrastructure, sites, and network. Support Data Center Technologies (for example: Dell VxRail, VMware ESXi and Virtual Center Management, etc.). Active Directory Domain Administration – including Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), and group policy administration. Backup/Recovery management and maintenance. Manage Cloud Solutions (for example: O365, Microsoft Azure, etc.). Enterprise Network, Server and Log Monitoring – administration and maintenance. Coordinate with third‑party vendors to implement and maintain other County networks and data centers. Troubleshoot and support tier 3 calls on a daily basis. Research and stay abreast of current software and hardware purchases involving servers, software, storage, networking, licensing, mobile devices, virtualization, policy and safety. Implement operational initiatives and projects of high complexity intended to either increase the efficiency and scalability of the infrastructure or provide significant value. Develop supporting tools and technologies for use by the infrastructure team and across other divisions. Develop and document network and system connectivity maps, processes, schedules, and support procedures. Perform other job‑related tasks as required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Thorough knowledge of technology infrastructure maintenance and support such as user account management, data backup and recovery, and enterprise‑level equipment monitoring; ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems; ability to train others in use of hardware and software; ability to manage several projects at the same time; ability to diagnose complex problems independently, arrive at a solution, and implement the solution; ability to establish working relationships with others in a team environment; must have excellent communication skills. Qualifications Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a four‑year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field and a minimum of four years of experience in: Active Directory Domain Group Policy Administration Server hardware, software and networking using Windows Servers, Linux and Mobile platforms. Data Center Technologies Hypervisor Virtualization Storage Solutions Enterprise Network and Network Technologies Preference Experience and Certifications 1‑2 years of experience in implementing Cloud Solutions Certifications in VMWare, Storage, Cisco, Dell, Microsoft and/or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license upon hire. #J-18808-Ljbffr
