Job Description Our client provides a complete range of tax, assurance, and consulting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, with a focus on estate and business succession planning, income tax reduction strategies, and complex multi-entity structures for high-net-worth individuals and privately held businesses. They are searching for an IT Manager to join their Houston location. Qualifications 2+ years of experience working in helpdesk environment at an accounting firm Solve technical issues in a timely manner to ensure high productivity Customer-oriented, cool-tempered approach Tech savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Apple products Experience with Azure AD Basic domain functionality experience with Active Directory functionalities. Basic Knowledge of Backup Solutions Basic knowledge in Networking and VPN Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, wireless systems, and other tech products Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues - a problem-solver Strong communication skills - ability to understand a problem and explain its solution in user's vocabulary Ability to work in team environment to communicate, coordinate and implement projects with third party I.T. vendors Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance over the phone, Teams or email Build and install PCs, telephone systems, and peripheral devices (such as printers, scanners) related to desktop infrastructure, in accordance with department standards Provide advice and guidance to colleagues regarding technical issues Maintain PCs, networks, telephone systems and peripherals Identify, log and resolve technical problems for software applications or network systems Identify potential changes and research system improvements to present to senior team leaders for consideration and implementation Ability to migrate Windows systems to higher platform Assist admin team generating necessary reports and other tasks Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions Proactively analyze IT inventory/infrastructure/environment to prevent future issues and problems Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with department guidelines Provide basic cyber security training and guidance for colleagues; help keep the Firm secure from threats Recommended Software Experience: Accounting software: Thomson Reuters (Smart Practice Aids)/Wolter Kluwer CCH (Axcess, Engagement, XCM) Bookkeeping software: Intuit
