About the Opportunity:

FedTec is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage our infrastructure, cloud systems, and IT operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing infrastructure for small businesses, be highly hands-on, and have proficiency in both cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) as well as a variety of core IT operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring the development and enforcement of standards related to logging, security, inventory management, and cost control. The IT Manager will work directly with internal teams to design and build cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and ensure best practices for IT security and operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure components such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
• Manage and optimize IT infrastructure for a small business environment, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Oversee daily operations of IT systems, ensuring efficiency and performance of cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Build and design cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Lead the development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure cloud solutions align with business goals and technical requirements.
• Ensure systems are secure and compliant with industry standards such as NIST 800-171.
• Develop and implement security policies and protocols for logging, inventory management, and access control.
• Regularly monitor and audit systems for compliance with security best practices.
• Manage IT financials, ensuring cost-effective management of IT resources
• Oversee product consolidation and optimize IT costs.
• Work closely with the leadership team to forecast, monitor, and control IT-related spending.
• Manage and oversee the building and provisioning of laptops for staff.
• Ensure timely and efficient hardware setup, including proper configuration and troubleshooting.
• Develop and enforce group policies to ensure consistent IT operations and security protocols across the organization.
• Manage and troubleshoot group policies and permissions for user devices and access.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations teams, to meet IT needs and requirements.
• Provide hands-on leadership, mentoring, and guidance to IT support staff and other team members.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and configurations.
• Regularly report on the health, security, and efficiency of IT systems to senior management.
