Project Description:
Payment compliance and enhancements for all of the services we maintain.
Position Summary/Job Description:
Product Strategy & Roadmap: Partner with Product leadership and other team product managers to define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the payment team.
Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of backend technologies, architecture, and infrastructure to make informed decisions and guide the development team.
Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of team projects, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Documentation & Communication: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for our systems and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, third-party and business teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data analytics and stakeholder feedback to inform product decisions and measure success.
Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with backend development, including technical debt and system vulnerabilities.
Customer Focus: Be the voice of the customer within the payment team, clearly articulating user needs and customer goals, ensuring technical solutions meet customer needs and enhance the overall user experience.
Skills Overview:
What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?
5+ years of proven product management experience.
4+ years of experience working in agile software development processes, including writing stories/epics, managing a backlog, product roadmaps, and working within a Software Engineering & User Experience environment being the lead product expert.
Detail oriented technical product management, able to easily explain the required technical changes the engineering team is making to anyone outside of the team.
Excellent time management skills to help plan and prioritize work for the team, meetings with stakeholders, vendors, and impacted teams.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges.
What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
Previous Payment or Financial Services experience
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform product decisions.
