You can be, too. #ClaimYourSeat Position Purpose/Summary: Assists the Vice President/CIO and Systems Integration/Development Manager in all data processing functions relating specifically to designing and programming systems with special emphasis on designing applications for Credit Union needs. Responsible for thorough testing and complete documentation of programs. Evaluates and modifies existing programs as required and ensures completeness and accuracy of testing that program and its documentation. Remote Opportunities are available in the NY, NJ, or PA Region. Education & Experience: This position minimally requires a bachelor’s degree in a computer-related discipline, along with three or more years of relevant experience. Financial systems experience preferred. Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Efficient time management and organizational skills; Flexibility (able to adapt to changing environment). Positively communicate with diverse employee population while providing excellent customer service; Advanced computer and math skills; adherence to confidentiality; detail-oriented. Thorough understanding of the principles of data processing and knowledge of the operating system and software applications used in the Credit Union's automated systems. Analytical skills adequate to determine Credit Union's operational requirements and to design and implement automated systems including hardware, software, and procedures to meet these requirements. Working knowledge of online transaction processing concepts, programming techniques, and financial industry electronic systems. Thorough understanding of Symitar database structure, data elements, SymConnect, system constraints, and data manipulation techniques; credit union job schedule and their impact on the Symitar database. Competence in at least one of the following: C/C++, SQL, Diebold ATM state/screen definition and maintenance, XML. Working knowledge of the Credit Union’s network interfaces, electronic delivery systems, and interfaces to external service providers (e.g., Certegy, Fiserv, etc.); AIX (Unix) commands or Windows Server administration; Credit Union policies and procedures regarding loan origination and servicing, share and checking products, electronic transaction processing systems (ACH, draft posting, debit/credit card postings), and delivery systems.
