IT Project Manager

Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead infrastructure and DevOps transformation initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This role will drive projects spanning data center operations, cloud migration, server, storage, networking, automation, and platform engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing enterprise infrastructure projects and a solid understanding of DevOps practices and modern delivery methodologies. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and platform-related initiatives Manage projects involving data centers, servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, platform engineering, and application teams Drive modernization efforts and improve operational processes Support DevOps enablement initiatives including CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code Provide project governance, executive reporting, and stakeholder communications Facilitate decision-making and remove project blockers Ensure compliance with change management, risk, and audit requirements Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) 7+ years of IT Project or Program Management experience Strong experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects Background supporting servers, networking, data centers, virtualization, storage, and backup systems Experience working with cross-functional technical teams Strong understanding of ITIL-based operational processes Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Experience supporting DevOps, automation, and cloud transformation initiatives Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Docker, or Kubernetes Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments Agile, Scrum, PMP, or PgMP certification Experience driving operational efficiency and automation programs Key Competencies & Behaviors Strategic Leadership and Ownership Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence Continuous Improvement and Change Leadership Work Environment Location: Hopkins, MN (Onsite) - Also open to candidates near Dallas (Irving, TX), Minneapolis, MN, and Chicago, IL Core business hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $60.00 and $70.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
