Program Management Office (PMO) Leader Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr Responsibilities: Define, implement, and continuously improve PMO standards, frameworks, processes, and templates to ensure consistency and quality across programs. Establish governance structures, roles, escalation paths, and decision-making forums for effective oversight. Conduct governance reviews, audits, and health checks to ensure adherence to standards and best practices. Provide end-to-end leadership for multiple interconnected projects and programs aligned with business objectives. Define program vision, scope, objectives, success metrics, and roadmaps. Manage cross-program dependencies, sequencing, and resource allocation including budget, personnel, and technology. Partner with IT and architecture teams to align programs with enterprise technology strategies. Ensure appropriate adoption of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies. Define PMO workflows including demand management, intake processes, resource management, and reporting. Track program performance using KPIs, metrics, and dashboards and report to senior leadership. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues impacting scope, schedule, budget, or quality. Drive corrective and preventive actions for program deviations. Act as the primary liaison between program teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders. Communicate program progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and proactively. Lead stakeholder alignment and change management initiatives across the organization. Required Qualifications: Strong leadership and program management experience across large-scale IT initiatives. Deep expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies. Proven ability to manage complex dependencies, budgets, and cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Hands-on experience with PMO and delivery tools such as Planview, Jira, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Education And Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in program/project management. 8+ years of experience in PMO leadership or large-scale program roles. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred. Preferred Skills: Experience building and scaling PMO frameworks. Strong understanding of portfolio management and executive reporting. Experience managing vendors, partners, and third-party contracts. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
