Working as part of the ETC IT team the IT Security Engineer will be responsible for the ‎implementation, maintenance and log of IT security measures as well as for tracking security relevant ‎IT incidents within ETC IT systems. The IT Security Engineer will closely work with the IT Security ‎Manager to ensure that IT Security measures are in line with the requirements delivered through ETC ‎Security Department. What you'll be doingImplement, document, log and maintain IT Security control measures. These measures are based on ‎Information Security requirements and output of risk assessments.‎Working closely with IT Security Manager and the IT Infrastructure Team to mitigate, transfer or ‎accept risks in different IT system environments.‎In close cooperation with IT Security Manager transfer of security requirements down to systems ‎configuration and maintenance level ‎Manage and implement IT Security projects.‎Create regular reports on detection and protection outcome of the different IT security measuresParticipate within an international IT Security Team to support IT Security strategy discussions and to ‎support decisions on realization of IT projects with respect to IT Security measures. ‎Can act as first point of contact for Cyber Response Incidents.‎Participate in internal and external audits and penetration testsImplement reporting and log strategies for security relevant IT services to track proper operation of ‎security functions and to ensure timely event generation in case of detected incidents.‎Support the improvement of our security response organisationYour profile‎HBO degree in Information Technology with special focus on IT SecurityRelevant Information Security work experienceGood understanding of Information Technology (especially in infrastructure, wide range of operating systems, cloud operations, databases and applications).Knowledge of security systems like virus detection, email & web security, endpoint protection, vulnerability detection, log event managementPreferable knowledge and experience with international standard (e.g. ISO 27001, SANS, Mitre Att&ck) and (inter)national regulationsTeam-oriented, committed, and well-organized working styleFlexibility and willingness to travel to other ETC locationsFluent in both German and EnglishHow we help you grow ‎Besides the fact that our organization is growing strongly, we think it is important that you continue to ‎develop. ‎Not only in terms of content, but also in terms of personal development.
