About the Role:
The IT Security System Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's information systems by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing robust security measures. This is an on-site position located at McAlester Regional Health Center. This position involves continuous monitoring and analysis of security systems to detect and respond to potential threats promptly. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and enforce security policies that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. By conducting risk assessments and security audits, the analyst ensures that the organization's digital assets remain protected against evolving cyber threats. Ultimately, this role is essential in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems across the enterprise.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in IT security, system analysis, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security.
- Experience with a security framework.
- Familiarity with security tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud security platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience in incident response and digital forensics.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various security tools and systems to identify potential threats or breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and testing to evaluate the security posture of the IT infrastructure.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to design and deploy security solutions that mitigate identified risks.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate incident response activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to security incidents, assessments, and compliance audits.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices and awareness.
