At Wolf Consulting, we are always looking for highly motivated people who want a fun, team-oriented and rewarding work environment. We are growing, and currently have an employment opening for an IT Service Intern. This candidate should be either a junior or senior in college.

This position works with our technical services team to assist in providing support to our managed services clients. Duties and responsibilities may include the following:

  • Working with members of our Service Desk Consulting team in providing proactive and reactive remote service and support to our clients, via telephone, email and remote control.
  • Working with members of our Field Consulting team in providing onsite service and support to our clients at their offices in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
  • Responding to monitoring alerts.
  • Setting up new desktop and laptop computers.
  • Installing, managing, configuring and troubleshooting software on desktops and laptops.
  • User account maintenance, including: adding new user accounts; setting-up new user desktop profiles and email profiles; deleting user accounts; and resetting passwords.
  • Providing support to business end-users for help with various issues.W

Requirements

  • Working towards a two-year or four-year degree in the Information Technology and/or Network Administration fields and will graduate within the next year.
  • Basic computer and network administration skills.
  • Basic keyboarding skills and basic telephone skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.


Work Environment Conditions:

  • Location: On most occasions, work for this position is performed in our Monroeville, PA office. On some occasions, local car travel in the Greater Pittsburgh area, using a personal vehicle, is required to visit client sites. Some remote work may be required.
  • Equipment Used: Office equipment, computer, software, telephone.
  • Physical Requirements: The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit, and use hands to operate computer keyboard, mouse, telephone and basic office equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see and hear. Ability to drive a vehicle is preferred.

The internship is a paid part-time, temporary position. An intern who performs well may have the opportunity to be considered for future full-time employment.
