Job #: 3041031 Job Title I&T Software Engineer 2 Location Linthicum, Maryland (Onsite) Role Overview We are seeking an Integration and Test Software Engineer 2 to support the Space Payloads and Ground Easter Region department. In this role, you will learn new technologies and develop software for space payloads. The position involves designing, developing, integrating, and testing software that manages test equipment and executes tests for a space payload unit, ensuring compliance with established requirements. You will work on an agile development team, primarily using Python, TCL, and C++. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, operate, and maintain integration and test software. Utilize automated tools such as Jenkins and Robot Framework to enable automated testing and verification. Work through all phases of the software development cycle, including design, development, integration, and test. Conduct peer reviews of software-related products, software designs, and other technical documents. Participate actively in cross-functional scrum teams and design reviews. Ensure system and software requirements are met from an end-to-end system perspective through technical peer reviews. Prioritize tasks and make recommendations to Technical Leads as required. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or another STEM discipline with a minimum of 8+ years of software development experience on embedded real-time systems, 6+ years with a Master’s Degree, or 3 years with a PhD. Experience: Experience developing in a Linux and/or Windows environment, integrating developed software applications, and using software configuration management tools. Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, C++, and TCL. Skilled in debugging code, testing software systems, and controlling test equipment through software (Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Signal Analyzers, Power Supplies, etc.). Additional Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidates must be willing to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a member of an Agile Scrum team. Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins and Robot Framework. Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket). Hands-on experience integrating RF, digital, or optic-based systems/equipment. Experience in embedded Python software optimizations.
