Job Description Qualifications
  • Four (4) or more years of experience supporting and managing network infrastructure and network-related devices (or equivalent experience agreed upon by the Company).
  • Proficiency in racking, stacking, cabling, and decommissioning network hardware devices.
  • Skilled in providing site services support for network device maintenance and support (console/remote).
  • IT/Telecom experience with:
    • Routing and switching
    • Firewalls
    • WiFi
    • IP Telephony (IPT)
    • Radio Frequency (RF) equipment, such as microwave radios, cellular nodes, and VSATs (very-small-aperture terminal).
Responsibilities Incident Management
  • Respond to ServiceNow incident tickets.
  • Troubleshoot, install, and remove equipment or components.
  • Perform visual hardware checks (e.g., hardware failure lights, console error messages, power status, and hardware labels).
  • Ping devices and perform DNS lookups.
  • Identify switch port locations.
Hardware and Cabling
  • Patching cable installation and recovery.
  • Troubleshooting and patching power cables.
  • Installing and removing power leads.
  • Locating and tagging network circuit demark locations.
Vendor Coordination
  • Provide escort services for third-party vendors or subcontractors.
Environmental and Risk Management
  • Adhere to risk management processes, including walkthroughs, work permits, change management, and safety training.
  • Report incidents and assist in identifying and reporting environmental issues (e.g., lack of cooling, water leaks).
  • Comply with the Company's audit, security, and information protection requirements.
Installation and Maintenance Activities
  • Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities for end-user business LAN and voice devices.
  • Provide smart hands support for telecommunications infrastructure, including:
    • Fiber optic and copper cable installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair (with cabling contractor as needed).
    • WiFi and BLE systems.
    • Microwave systems.
    • Radio systems (HF, VHF, UHF, 2-way, radar).
    • VSAT installation and repair.
    • Cellular-based systems (4G LTE, 5G, NB-IIoT, LTE-M).
    • Low-power WAN (lpWAN) systems, such as LoRaWAN.
    • Other IIoT/OT systems.
Specialty Systems
  • Deploy prewired solar panel/battery power systems (ground-level, low maintenance).
  • Install, maintain, and repair specialty telecom systems, such as:
    • CCTV
    • PAGA
    • Intercom
    • Fire/Intruder Alarm
Emergency and Disaster Recovery
  • Monitor and respond to emergency conditions affecting operations (e.g., hurricanes, earthquakes).
  • Adhere to Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Change Management
  • Follow Company change management procedures and practices.
