It Support Engineer Nutanix Apply
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated IT professional with strong technical expertise and a proven commitment to customer service. The ideal candidate will provide hands on support for enterprise systems, manage Nutanix clusters, and ensure seamless integration of third party software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support across Windows Server/Desktop environments, including user administration and file system management.
- Manage Active Directory, including domain backup, recovery, and GPO setup.
- Troubleshoot networking issues (DHCP, DNS, Routing, Firewall) and apply security best practices (ACL, Encryption).
- Perform scripting (PowerShell, bash, ksh, perl) to automate routine tasks.
- Monitor system health and performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resources.
- Execute disaster recovery planning, backup/restore, and patch/firmware management.
- Deliver responsive end user support with a strong customer service mindset.
- Administer and maintain Nutanix clusters, including Darksite patching and hypervisor components.
- Collaborate on integration of third party software and application server solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of IT support experience.
- Hands on experience with Nutanix, VMware, and other hypervisors.
- Strong scripting and automation background.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work onsite, 5 days a week, with flexibility for overtime and on call support.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with security software (Prowatch, Genetec).
- Exposure to application server software environments.
