Location: Hybrid: Onsight M-Th; Canton, MA

Working Hours: Early start at either 6 AM or 7:30 AM EST

Terms: Direct Placement with the end client

Capstone IT is assisting our client in hiring a Print Support Help Desk Specialist for a full-time role in Canton, MA.
This position combines expertise in print production operations and tier-1 technical support.
This position involves managing print production operations and providing Tier-1 IT support.
Responsibilities include overseeing daily printing from the Mainframe server, organizing and distributing print materials, and offering technical support for hardware and software issues.

The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills, a strong capability in diagnosing and resolving technical problems, and proven experience in managing print production operations effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily printing operations, ensuring timely execution and delivery of print jobs.
  • Sort, organize, and deliver print jobs to the mailroom and designated locations.
  • Act as the first point of contact for technical assistance via phone, in-person, or email.
  • Operate and maintain large enterprise-level printers and perform basic maintenance.
  • Manage paper inventory and report any print malfunctions.
  • Support onsite IT requests, including equipment retrieval and deliveries.
  • Train and assist customers in proprietary and third-party software.
  • Perform routine maintenance on technical equipment and manage hardware inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Print Production and a background in IT Help Desk support.
  • Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and IT support tools like Zendesk or ServiceNow.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Help Desk support tools and knowledge of Active Directory, Intune, Configuration Manager, Smart Deploy, LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Ability to configure and maintain AV equipment.
  • Self-driven, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in CompTIA A+ (preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
    and meet the physical demands of the position, which includes standing, bending, and stooping.
