Remote IT Support Technician (Microsoft 365 / Azure)
Location: Remote (Candidate must reside in the Midwest, USA)
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract (adjust as needed)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Remote IT Support Technician to support end users in a Microsoft-centric environment. The ideal candidate is fluent in Microsoft 365, comfortable with Azure fundamentals, and experienced in providing remote user support in a professional business setting.
This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and the ability to work independently while supporting users across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support for end users (Windows, Microsoft 365)
- Administer and support Microsoft 365:
- Exchange Online
- Outlook
- Teams
- OneDrive / SharePoint
- User management via Entra ID (Azure AD):
- User provisioning
- Group management
- License assignment
- Troubleshoot:
- Login and MFA issues
- Email and Teams issues
- Device and profile-related problems
- Escalate complex issues appropriately and document resolutions
- Work independently while maintaining clear communication with users and management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of IT support experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365
- Working knowledge of Azure / Entra ID
- Proven experience supporting users remotely
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup
- Must currently live in the Midwest (US)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Intune / device management
- Conditional Access
- Security & compliance basics
- Experience supporting professional services environments (law, finance, consulting)
- Microsoft certifications (nice to have, not required)
