This company is hiring an IT Support Specialist for their plant located just South of Ann Arbor, Michigan. This role will ensure reliable network, server, and end‑user operations in fast‑paced office, manufacturing, & warehouse environments. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on IT professional with strong networking and Microsoft infrastructure experience who thrives working independently while collaborating with a corporate IT team. This full‑time, direct‑hire, on‑site role has a salary range of $70k-$80k, plus full benefits. Highlighted Duties: Network & Infrastructure: Maintain plant network infrastructure (switches, wireless, VLANs, segmentation). Install and troubleshoot network cabling. Monitor performance and resolve wired/wireless connectivity issues. Support firewall, VPN, and security configurations. Maintain documentation of network topology and procedures. Support plant automation and industrial equipment connectivity. Server & Systems Administration: Administer Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP). Manage virtualization environment and server patching. Maintain file servers and NAS systems. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups. Monitor system health and implement security updates. Microsoft 365 & End-User Support: Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). Provide Windows and Mac endpoint support (deployment through retirement). Manage software licensing, hardware assets, and inventory. Troubleshoot help‑desk tickets and provide timely resolution. Support SAP client installations and mobile device management. Additional Support: Provide IT support for warehouses and affiliated sites. Support LIMS (SPS Software), FileMaker, and QA systems. Assist with IT security initiatives and infrastructure projects. Coordinate with vendors and corporate IT on projects and standards. Highlighted Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; OR Associate’s degree + 3+ years; OR HS diploma + 5+ years progressive IT experience. 3–5 years hands‑on enterprise IT experience. Industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco CCNA) preferred.3 years of manufacturing or industrial IT experience required. Experience with virtual networks, cabling and switches. Familiarity with SAP preferred. Experience with plant automation, SCADA, or industrial control networks. Backup and disaster recovery experience. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Clear communication with technical and non‑technical users. Organized and detail‑oriented; self‑directed with ability to prioritize.
