Overview Description The IT System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the casino and hospitality enterprise’s server, network, and system infrastructure. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and security of mission-critical systems that support gaming, racetrack, food and beverage, and corporate operations. The System Administrator works closely with other IT teams to maintain uptime, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with internal control and gaming regulatory standards within a 24/7 operational environment. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and related network hardware and software components. Administer system performance monitoring, updates, and patch management to ensure operational stability and security compliance. Support core casino and hospitality systems including CMS, PMS, POS, HCM, and financial platforms. Monitor system alerts and logs, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with internal policies and gaming regulations. Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for critical systems. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to install and upgrade hardware, operating systems, and applications. Assist with network administration, including switches, routers, and wireless access points as needed. Maintain accurate system documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories. Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews related to IT systems and security controls. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues from help desk or support staff. Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies and assist in incident response and remediation efforts. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications / Job Specifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Three or more years of applicable experience, Bachelor’s or above degree preferred, or combination of experience and education. Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V). Familiarity with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS. Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN. Knowledge of backup and recovery tools, endpoint management, and system monitoring utilities. Experience supporting enterprise systems such as Agilysys, Micros, Workday, or similar platforms. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a focus on minimizing downtime. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. Strong commitment to confidentiality, security, and compliance. Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across IT disciplines. Must maintain a valid state gaming license as required by jurisdiction. Must be available for on-call support, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Certifications Is this position responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages?
