The Systems Engineer II will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting of all hardware, operating systems, applications, and policies related to the network infrastructure. Furthermore, the Systems Analyst will interface with internal and external personnel of varying technical proficiencies to design, maintain, and troubleshoot the PCA network infrastructure. Principle Accountabilities Responsible for knowing and following policies and procedures of the company, sharing information that would benefit other members of the team, and for finding ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers. Establishes the design, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the PCA network and the various equipment and cabling that it consists of. Provides in person and remote support of other team members, support engineers and end-users. Performs the physical installation of all switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points and other various equipment. Responsible for the overall safety of the personnel while operating in our manufacturing environments. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems. 0-3 years’ experience in related ITS area. Demonstrated knowledge of the OSI Model and Local and Wide Area Networks. Working knowledge of how to investigate and resolve first echelon help desk service requests related to Network infrastructure. Must be able to travel as necessary and authorized to work in U.S. Preferred Qualifications Display working knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 switches. Understanding of VLAN concepts and configuration. Working knowledge and experience with Wireless technologies (Aerohive and Cisco). Familiarity with traffic capture techniques and software. Working knowledge of IPv4 networking, routing and protocols. The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Solid working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems. Strong organizational skills to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests. Ability to adapt to and work effectively and independently in a fast paced, multitasking environment. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year. Paid Holidays.
